To do list from Feedback

• Experiment with front cover image - "isn't the expected choice as it isn't mid-shot and doesn't have the artist giving eye contact", look through pictures to find a better option.
• Look through colouring and fonts again.
• Add date and price to front cover - possibly date on all pages.
• Try adding more onto front cover - need to look at layout again to make it more affective.
• Need to add page numbers.
• Check alignments on my pages.
• Add text to double page spread
• red line branding - add to front page?

I think your pictures across all three pieces are very successful. The front cover image isn't the expected choice as it isn't mid-shot and doesn't have the artist giving eye contact but it is fairly successful- perhaps try experimenting here. Check the colours of fonts are clear and you need price and date- this is a must. A little sparse so consider adding a little more.
Contents is most successful- interesting use of layout  array of images. You must follow codes and conventions and add page numbers- go back to real media artefacts. Look at alignment of text and captions for images.
Double page needs work- add in your text asap.
Check branding- the masthead has a red line except for front cover.

Looking for inspiration

 

I just really like these two qualities to the front covers and would like to incorporate them into the piece some how. From my first rough cut I have already included the cross, however I couldn't find the correct placement for the album cover that I would use.

 

 These layout ideas are very simplistic and allow the reader to easily navigate through the magazine, also, by using the term "REGULARS", they become aware of what we as a magazine want to share with them on a monthly basis and will come accustomed to this.

 

 

 

When completing my double page spread I don't want to include massive paragraphs of writing, I would much prefer the overall layout to be the most eye catching. Also, as there will be less writing, I will have to make sure that the layout is enticing.
